Bright Summer Knitwear

The weather is warming up and soon it will be a glorious summer (I hope after the last 2 disasters!), but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your knitwear. Layering up outfits with knitwear is one of the most simple fashion tips I can give, but one that will work wonders in any situation. In the summer you do not have to sacrifice this look, just tailor it to the season, which is really easy.

Firstly, look for lightweight knits in summer colours – think bright and bold or summer pastel colours. Next, layer a cardigan or v-neck with a lightweight cotton shirt, vest or plain tee. This look works really well and can even be rounded off with a nylon windbreaker jacket that is perfect for Spring. As the days become hotter and hotter, you can either just remove layers or just look for more open forms of knitwear like lightweight knitted hoodies or cardigans.

The evenings are never hot in the summer over here, so you can easily rock knitwear in the late afternoon or evenings whilst hanging out with friends or having a drink in the sun. Please don’t be a slob in the summer and just wear casual shorts and basic vest with a pair of flip flops! You can be a stylish man all year round with just little additions and layers to your outfits. Take a bit of time to get your wardrobe in order and add a few key pieces that you already KNOW go well together.
