Dolce And Gabbana Clothing – New D&G Clothes Collection

I have been looking forward to writing this article for a while now but I wanted to make sure I waited until the new collections were in a few stores so I could do this brand justice with the picks. Everyone who comes here and reads this site I would assume know who Dolce and Gabbana are, but I am going to give them the introduction they deserve out of respect:

Dolce and Gabbana is the company founded by Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, who are two Italian fashion designers. They started out purely designing premium women’s clothes and launched their first collection around the end of 1985 to critical acclaim. The 2 designers continued to build up their rapidly expanding reputation until 1990 when they launched their first ever men’s collection in the January of that year. Since then they have won multiple design awards for innovation and outstanding design/quality within the menswear sector.

The Dolce & Gabbana brand is now one of the most well recognised fashion houses in the world. They are a premium quality clothes designer which come with a premium quality price. If you have ever had the pleasure of owning some of their clothes, you will know that the construction, cut and fabric just oozes high class and quality. Everything just fits perfectly and will last multiple seasons. They have two sections to their menswear now: Dolce&Gabbana and D&G.

Dolce&Gabbana (spelt without spaces, unlike the brand) specialises in expensive luxury items, and is more formal and ‘timeless’, responding to long-term trends rather than seasonal changes. For those with little money to spend, these are real investment pieces that will serve you timelessly from year to year. You will want to stay away from the more on trend stuff, but shirts, trousers, suits, jackets can be bought without guilt as you know they will last and always look amazing.

D&G is a slightly more casual line that follows an urban inspiration and attempts to set trends rather than follow them. It is the younger, more flamboyant line of the brand. So for those with more money you can invest in multiple pieces and really lift your wardrobe to the next level. Classic formal items from the Dolce&Gabbana range mixed with more on trend pieces like patent trainers, ripped/destroyed jeans and chunky knitwear will really set you apart.
