As you probably would guess, a lot of companies contact us on an almost daily basis trying to get us to feature their site or products or services. Normally I tell them where to go just because they are looking for some free advertising. However, recently I was contacted by Gareth at a brand new underwear store online called GetEmOffMensUnderwear.co.uk. He told me the usual spiel about being a new store and looking to find fashion conscious customers (HELLO) but what really got me to write this post was the fact his business is donating 5% of their profits to the male cancer charity Orchid.
Orchid do really great charity work here in the UK and I have personally worked with them before in a previous job. Without being a preacher I think you should check out their information page because incidence of male cancer is increasing; testicular cancer is twice as common today as 20 years ago and prostate cancer is now the biggest cancer threat to men in the UK! I LOVE writing about fashion and style every day but sometimes we need to direct ourselves off this so we can continue to be the best men we can be.
I also feel that for a new business to come out and make such a great gesture is very unique in this day and age of everyone out to make a quick buck. The customer service is also awesome with a 1% cash back scheme for every £10 spent, free delivery and returns AND a 15% OFF Voucher code emailed to you direct straight after your first purchase! Check their terms page for more details but they might as well be giving the pants away in the end.
As an extra bonus for featuring them today, GetEmOffMensUnderwear have given us a great mini competition prize of 3 pairs of D&G boxers to give away! Luckily for you I didn’t decide to just stash them in my pants drawer, as they are all in size Large – so now one of you has the chance to win these great examples! Entering couldn’t be simpler, all you have to do is send me an email on: men [at] fashionbeans.com and tell me what the name of the boxer below is (hint: check their website because I got the image from there!):
Like I mentioned, these pairs are in a large because I thought it might be the most popular size for men when we reserved the stock. If you win and they are not your size then just give them to a lucky friend! It doesn’t cost you to enter, and you could win a set of boxers worth RRP £78. I would never spam you or use your email in any way so what have you got to lose.
Competition closes: 31st August 2009
The 3 examples of D&G boxers that you can win are below. I will also throw in a £25 voucher to your favourite fashion store online in order to round the prize up to £100.
Straight from the owner’s mouth…
“A brand new website dedicated to selling men’s designer underwear online has launched.
The website, called getemoffmensunderwear.co.uk, specialises in providing men with underwear from leading designer brands including Calvin Klein, D&G and Diesel. The site offers the latest ranges of men’s designer underwear and plans are already in place to extend the number of designer brands available within the coming months.
Getemoffmensunderwear aims to not only offer the most up to the minute designer underwear, but to also raise awareness of testicular cancer by donating a percentage of total profits per quarter to men’s testicular cancer charity, Orchid – something that competitors to Getemoffmensunderwear do not offer.
The site has also launched a loyalty scheme for all those who register, which offers 1% back in the form of a code for every £10 that is spent. So the more you spend, the more discount you get – check the website for more information. In addition to these innovative ideas, Getemoffmensunderwear.co.uk also offers free UK delivery, a free returns policy* and competitive pricing on all the latest men’s designer underwear ranges.”
In this post I have featured their top 5 best sellers in their current underwear range. They have 3 brands to start with: D&G, Diesel and CK and I have been told they are expanding their product range as we speak. Pricing from what I see is below the major underwear retailers, based on the same products and the fact they will give you FREE Delivery in UK.
