Humor Clothing – New Men’s Collection

Humor Clothing are one of our favourite up and coming underground fashion brands. The designers are heavily influenced by underground music and the DJ culture which is alive in many of the metropolitan cities around the world: New York, Berlin, London, Copenhagen, Paris etc. Notice anything about the cities I listed there? They are all major players in the fashion world and have produced some of the greatest designers and collections to date.

Humor definitely have the street vibe going on and produce what I would call very informal clothing. It’s influenced by the underground scene and the break boys etc. The frayed and ragged technique to produce informal clothes has been done to death in recent years by many a designer, but Humor seemed to have counteracted this by using designs and cuts to create new styles and silhouettes we haven’t seen before.

The colour range in this first collection we have seen is a display of happy, strong colours in off-beat combinations. Colour blocking is very evident, and the way they merge the colours together is like nothing we have seen recently. The designer have said a major source of inspiration in this connection is Tokyo’s Shibuya area where the fashion crowd is giving an entirely new meaning to the word paint box.

You will not find these clothes anywhere else but Oki-ni here in the UK. They have managed to secure the last of the Humor jeans available this season so if you want a pair then I suggest you buy them now as they have been completely cleared out. As I have mentioned this week, denim and denim shorts are very much back in this season, and humour do some of the best I have seen in a long while. Their denim looks exceptional, and the cut looks perfect with fitted leg lines, but a dropped crotch which gives off the informal/laid back style.
