Well after showcasing a few other major players in the canvas market last week, I thought it would be wrong to leave out Converse and some of the newer styles which you can now get your hands on. Sometimes just sticking with something you know looks great and just works is the way forward. Some of you are not ready to break away from this traditional brand yet, although I really advise you to start varying up items and designers within your wardrobe as you will become much more well rounded within your look and personal style. You will also find that that your style will “evolve” and you will really sculpt a niche for yourself and develop how you want to project yourself through your clothes.
Converse have to be the biggest brand in canvas trainers I have come across. The mix between great colourways, style, comfort and low cost means they really cornered the market early and became a cult figure within firstly the rocker/retro market, and then in the main stream fashion markets. I have always loved them – especially the hi-tops because they can really add some retro flair to a look whilst looking great with shorts, jeans and even trousers. Such a versatile piece of footwear and everyone should have at least one pair in their wardrobe.
The new styles come in multiple colours and patterns, as well as adding new twists like double tongues, leather versions, patent material and the beautiful new re-issue styles which are based on some of the first Converse designs produced. So take a look inside this post for a collection of the great styles you can get your hands on this season.
