Men’s Nudie Jeans

Nudie Jeans have gotten a bit of a cult following over here in the UK within the last couple of years. They have always produced great denim – I got my first pair of Nudie Jeans whilst in Europe around 4/5 years ago and fell in love with them. I used to wear them everyday because the denim was so soft and comfortable and the cut was amazing. I came back from my travelling to find it really hard to get hold of them over here in the UK. However this Swedish brand has exploded over the last 2 years and now most independent fashion boutiques stock them and their are a variety of places to get them off the Internet as well.

I think Nudie have perfected the art of the cut of jeans. They produce a variety of styles; comfort, slim, skinny etc. but they always fit exactly as you would expect. This is not normal for a lot of jeans designers who’s leg line seems to differ in different washes even if the model/style is exactly the same – I am think Diesel and G-Star off the top of my head. This makes buying denim hard, as you normally have to try on the jeans to see if they suit. With Nudie I know if I order a skinny fit pair in my normal size, not matter what wash they are going to be perfect for me.

The quality of the denim is also superb. Some of the washes they make are literally the softest denim I have ever touched and make them great for day to day wear. They only use organic cotton which means they are good for the environment and they follow strict rules about this throughout the whole manufacturing process. Just a great denim company with actual “ethics” – rare in today’s capitalist environment.

They have just released a new collection of great denim which I thought I would showcase today. All the styles will set you back on average around £100 which places them in mid-price bracket, but they are great value for money.
