I have been told a few times that this site doesn’t particularly cater for the teen audience enough. A way I am trying to rectify this is by getting 2 teens to write articles for me as guest contributors. We are looking to have a redesign soon with a whole section dedicated to doing fashion on a budget and younger fashion looks. Today an offer fell on my lap that I couldn’t really pass up showing you all.
USC is one of the biggest high street stores we have here in the UK for fashion. They stock a lot of commercial brands and it is generally where most teens start dabbling in their designer brands. Topman, New Look, Burton, River Island etc. are all good, but this is where the labels start for a lot of young people. Today they have told me about a 20% OFF Offer that is only available until tomorrow night:
Terms: Not available on G-Star. ONLINE ONLY.
Voucher Code: Applied Automatically at Checkout
Starting Date: Wednesday, 7th October 2009
Valid Until: Midnight Thursday, 8th October 2009
It applies to their range of Coats and Knitwear only – but this is perfect due to the fact I have noticed I need to put the heating on every night now in my house! The one long winter we have has started here in the UK so it is definitely time to start gathering and rocking the layers, knits and jackets people. Everything within their jacket and knitwear range has 20% OFF apart from G-star Raw clothing – probably because that stuff sells like nothing else within the teen market!
So you can get money off Diesel, Adidas Originals, Gio-Goi, Firetrap, Felix Blow and all the other major commercial brands. If you have had your eye on something like an investment jacket then there has been no better time to buy, and also if you were on a budget you might be able to pick up something for great value now. THIS OFFER IS ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE and for 2 days, so you need to get there quick. Prices are full price on the website, but it automatically applies the discount at the checkout so you do not need a code.
I have put a selection below of some of the items I think would be an investment, as well as splitting the range into trends. So no matter what age you are, it is probably a good idea to take a look through the picks below. You might find a bargain!
20% OFF Coats and Knitwear at USC
Leather Jackets
These are one of my favourite items of clothes and a true investment piece. Get 20% OFF these today and keep and cherish them for years to come! Really smartens up and adds an edge to any casual look.
Quilting
We have told you about quilting being a massive trend, and yesterday we mentioned brogues as well which would go perfect with this type of jacket. A couple of options here by Firetrap who are right on trend this year.
Military Inspired
All the jackets below hit this season’s biggest and (in my eyes) BEST trend… Military! Epaulettes and military styling are present throughout and I particularly like the green khaki jacket below as I think it adds a twist and flair to the trend. We have shown you how to rock military items before in our look books.
Chunky Knitwear
Another massive trend this year as we previewed back last month. Look for big thick knitwear with cable detailing, heavy lining and even faux fur trims. Extravagant patterns and colours should also not be passed up. Perfect for a casual daytime look or smartened up and layered with other formal pieces to give a contrast.
Best of the Rest
Some items in here that would just be sound purchases or items that can be worn in multiple outfits/looks. Also a couple of on trend pieces like plaids and checks for this coming season.

Great Post!!
I am a 19 year old teen located in America, and I am a big fan of your site Ben! I visit Daily to get “inspiratioon” before i get dressed and leave my dorm and head off to class.
I have my own style I and was best dressed in highschool and in college, but I lovethe stlye you potray in london.
This is a great site. I don’t think you should directly direct more articules towards teens…but you should direct more articuls to younger people 24 and below. HTese are the people who car how they dress on a daily bases and we can do more with our styles.
Great Job Ben and Keep UP THE GOOD WORK. gREAT pOST!!
