Now I have never really featured technology on this blog as I like to try and keep it as directed towards fashion as possible, but in an effort to expand all of our horizons I thought I might start to feature some new excellent men’s lifestyle ideas/products. These will include some of the latest technology along with desirable men’s lifestyle products.
I think it’s important to develop your personal style on the whole which goes way beyond fashion itself. It’s about intrinsic aspects of your personality like how you communicate with people, your confidence and self esteem and how you hold yourself. It’s also about the extrinsic items you possess which should convey these intrinsic aspects. I don’t want you to become label junkies or trend junkies just because you think you should to look cool, but I want to showcase you desiriable items which I personally think are fashionable and convey an overall aura of the style conscious man. You don’t like them? That is fine, don’t buy something just because I say so, it has got to fit your style, personality and lifestyle too.
So with the preaching out the way I present to you something that has been getting a lot of hype recently…. The Toshiba TG01 Mobile Phone. With the obvious and outstanding success of the iPhone, Toshiba are going to launch a killer rival later this summer. Toshiba isn’t renowned as a relentlessly consistent source of top smartphones, but that hasn’t stopped it from throwing its hat into the fashionable touch-phone ring with the TG01.
The Toshiba TG01 is slim and we mean obscenely slim for the power it’s packing. Check out the pictures below and you’ll see it next to an iPhone and a BlackBerry Bold. It’s just 9.9mm thick, compared to the Apple’s 12.3mm waist. It makes both look like chubby cousins, while the 4.1 inch screen dwarfs the iPhone and looks like it would actually be a good size for watching movies, tv shows or presentations on the go.
Take a peek at the pics and video in the full article, and you’ll also see Toshiba has re-skinned Windows Mobile 6.1. The interface is a stripey number, but all the essentials are there, from Mobile Office to Internet Explorer Mobile 6, DivX support and full Flash compatibility. We are dissapointed they haven’t used Google Android because Toshiba are part of the open-handset alliance Google has, but never the less you will probably be more interested in how pretty it looks anyway and if the functionality is up to par, then we think it could give the iPhone a run for it’s money!
