A.P.C x Carhartt
French apparel brand A.P.C have teamed up yet again with American work wear brand Carhartt, in order to produce a collection for autumn/winter 2011.
The collection is comprised of shirts, chinos, tees, outerwear and some unusual accessories – such as an apron – with inspiration being drawn from work wear and casual pieces in the Carhartt clothing archive.
Our favourites from the current collection have to be the Detroit Revisited Jacket and the Captain Jacket.
The Captain Jacket is a work wear blazer made from Hickory denim. It stood out to us because of its blue and white striped body – which along with details such as three front patch pockets and an inspired gold anchor badge – gives it a very nautical feel. This is a piece that is thick enough to be worn during the current winter season, whilst also being perfect for hitting the key trends come spring/summer 2012.
The Detroit Revisited Jacket also caught our attention, as it is a premium take on the original Detroit Jacket that we were all big fans of here at FashionBeans. The new 2011 version has been modernised with a slimmer and more tailored cut that is in keeping with the new direction menswear is heading, but also has a fleece lining – right on trend for the current AW11 season with the influx of shearling and texture.
This highly anticipated collection is now available over at End Clothing.
