Barbour x Grenson Collaboration

This October sees two of the most prestigious British brands collaborate on an autumn/winter 2011 collection. The two iconic brands I’m talking about – if you haven’t already been able to guess – are outdoor specialists Barbour and renowned, luxury footwear label Grenson.

The two classic British brands both share the same values and ethics in regards to quality and craftsmanship – so as a result the collaboration was inevitable. The range includes four exclusive styles of country boots and brogues, which are all hand crafted in Grenson’s factory.

The range showcases Barbour’s influence upon the designs through the use of their signature D rings, hand stained green welt and linings, antique brass eyelets, and iconic quilting; all features we have come to expect from their jackets. Whilst Grenson add their stamp through classic silhouettes and attention to detail – making these truly timeless pieces of footwear.

Steve Buck, Managing Director of Barbour commented on the collaboration saying: “The footwear we have developed together is of the highest quality, incorporating elements of our signature style into beautifully crafted boots and brogues.”

The collaboration fuses both function and style together by capitalising on Barbour’s trademark durability (present in their entire outwear range) and Grenson’s character and detailing – especially prevalent on the brogue patterning.
