Devendra Banhart Designs Drop City T-shirt For COMUNE

COMUNE's Drop City Programme

For almost a decade, Devendra Banhart’s genre-bending psychedelic freak folk has turned the music world on its head. For fall 2011, the LA-based singer songwriter has contributed to COMUNE’s Drop City programme by adapting an original piece on to one of 40 tees.

COMUNE have worked with Banhart to create an exploded view of a complete piecework, creating a more organic pattern unseen on other prints.

Devandra, whose other talents inc

lude drawing, painting, curating both domestic and international arts shows and more recently tattooing, cites ancient alchemist H. Pee as an inspiration for his experiment with space and shape.
