For those of you who have been hiding away in your avant garde caves, Versace and H&M recently teamed up to bring you affordable H&M prices with the Versace innovative style, thus creating the mother of all collaborations.
The moment the collection went on sale 17/11/2011 at 9:00am, the streets were already lined and the servers were already down. Various pieces of the menswear were an instant sell-out, however limited pieces are still available to buy online:
The good news I bring you today is that Versace have announced there will be another team-up with H&M in 2012. This time it will be to launch the spring/summer line. A few images of the womenswear half of the collection have been leaked online already but the menswear is still being kept secret under gold clad wraps. A collection of men’s clothing has been guaranteed however.
The only downside this time – or perhaps upside if you don’t like camping on the high-street all night – is that the collection will only be available to shop online. This means the battle to the virtual shopping basket will be a lot more intense, however only countries with a H&M online shopping site have been exclusively selected to purchase from the new range. This includes the UK, Germany, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands.
If the 2011 collaboration is anything to go by, I think it’s safe to say we’re all in for a big Versace wrapped, H&M centred treat!
