Duck and Cover AW11
Streetwear label Duck and Cover continue to bring us the very best in urban and utility clothing this autumn/winter. Since its launch in 1996, the brand has become recognised for its unfaltering attention to detail and ability to provide collections packed with anything the stylish man may desire.
The AW11 collection, divided into two, offers a selection of pieces that place a modern twist on a number of old heritage pieces.
While the second half – with its evident military influence – features those must have winter warmer pieces in fleece, shearling and on-trend corduroy fabrics, it’s the first half that has really caught our eye here at FashionBeans.
Inspired by work wear and developed into modern yet authentic pieces, this part of the collection really stands out from the sea of winter clothing we’ve been introduced to this season. From metallic blues and desert tones to energetic accents in brighter colours, this range caters to both the sophisticated gent and the fun lover inside of you.
Key pieces include gilets, deep neck shapes and the timeless denim jacket. The collection brings us both the Motley long sleeve shirt in desert and the Wordsworth long sleeve funnel neck shirt, two of the FashionBeans teams favourite items that can easily be carried through into the spring 2012 season.
Both pieces feature high-neck detail and are constructed with hardwearing fabrics – the perfect protection from the fierce winter weather. While the Motley’s double breast pockets are totally on trend, the Wordsworth in blue chambray is full of character.
