For fall 2011 Junya Watanabe COMME des GARCONS MAN have collaborated with Italian jacket expert Duvetica to create an outerwear line consisting of a padded down jacket and hooded down gilet.

It was the hooded down gilet that grabbed our attention here at FashionBeans, as it has the benefit of being reversible – meaning that its more versatile than the usual gilets we’ve come to expect on the market at the moment. This vest comes in a light tan colour way with a (reversible) striking red plaid lining. It also features houndstooth and corduroy panel detailing on the back. Not only does this additional detailing accentuate the design further, it also keeps you on trend with one of the key looks of the season – heritage. Reverse the gilet and suddenly you hit another major autumn/winter trend – plaid/tartan patterning. A true statement piece that allows you to adopt two key looks quickly and easily.

This gilet is constructed from a breathable cotton outer shell and filled with goose down padding, creating much needed insulation. Other details include a full zip front, two button enclosed pockets on one side and zip pockets on the reverse.
