Kitsuné Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

Paris based label Kitsune have drawn inspiration from the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald tale – The Great Gatsby – to produce their latest spring/summer 2012 menswear collection. Bringing together American clothing staples with European detailing.

The chic collection consists of a mix of formal and casual wardrobe pieces that include tailored trousers, jackets and blazers, as well as graphic tees, polo shirts and cardigans.

A lot of the collection has been constructed using light weight materials such as linen – ideal for the spring/summer seasons when the temperature rises.

The overall collection aesthetic naturally shies away from the darker tones that are associated with the colder autumn/winter months and moves into lighter pastel shades of cream, beige, green and peach to name a few.

One of our favourite pieces from the collection is the navy checked sports jacket with its contrasting cream piping – featured around the edges as well as on the cuffs and pockets. This tailored jacket gives off a true preppy aesthetic, perfectly encapsulating the American influence running throughout the collection. The jacket itself is a real eye catcher that will allow you to stand out – for all the right reasons.
