Marni for H&M – Spring 2012
Having already got collaborations with designers such as Lanvin, Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Jimmy Choo and Matthew Williamson under its belt, H&M are once again branching out to team up with Italian brand Marni. Marni is renowned within the industry for their emphasis on original prints, colours and shapes.
Marni is headed by creative director Consuelo Castiglioni, and she said about the collaboration; “It is great to speak to a wider audience and in particular to the younger generations.”
The collection will include both menswear and womenswear ranges, and is set to be released both online and in 260 stores worldwide on March 8th 2012.
The spring collection for women features a more playful aesthetic; mixing tribal prints with Bauhaus graphics in a colourful colour palette that is so distinctive of Marni’s iconic style. The menswear collection on the other hand focuses on relaxed wardrobe staples and subtler subdued prints – often used as an accent detailing for linings or contrast collars on shirts.
If this collection is anything like H&M’s previous collaborations it is sure to be a a huge success – and here at FashionBeans we already can’t wait until spring to get our hands on this range!
