My Yard AW11 Collection
My Yard are a Bristol based street wear label that have been up and running since 2006. For the autumn/winter 2011 season they have released a collection which prominently features Navajo inspired designs.
The collection is made up of Navajo printed t-shirts, pocket tees, vest and sweatshirts, which are all available in a range of different colour ways – so you are bound to find something to suit.
The Navajo trend has been big throughout the whole of 2011 – with the pattern being utilised on everything from clothing to accessories – and with new collections like this, it looks as though it could stick around for quite a while longer.
One of our favourite designs from the range is the Native Scoop Neck Tee White (which has been styled below with red chinos). The interesting Aztec Navajo graphic pattern is a real eye catcher which makes clever use of both shape and colour. With such a dominating print like this you need to keep the rest of your outfit simple and add small finishing touches like accessories or rolling your sleeves for a touch of individuality.
With such promising designs coming from the brand in the short space of time since its establishment, we are expecting great things from them going forward.
The AW11 Collection is now available over at Urban Industry and ASOS.
