Denim aficionados ‘Nudie’ have announced a new line of khakis based on the silhouette of their Autumn/Winter 11 collection. The line is a nod to the origins of the modern Nudie jean found on the Swedish west coast on a small archipelago island called Gullholmen.

The progressive denim brand is reinventing the classic staple with the ethos that, “All things being equal, khakis and jeans are two branches of the same tree.” Humble in their findings, the denim heads put their inspiration down to the story of the genuine local fisherman tradition; back in the day when sailors began sewing their own ‘jeans’ from sailcloth, when khaki was the dominating shade.

The khaki line comprises of 4 fits based upon existing denim fits: Khaki Tight, Khaki Slim, Khaki Straight and Khaki Regular. The khakis are the perfect addition to the Nudie collection, sitting comfortably beside the denim – sharing the same durability and rugged personality.
