Reiss Winter Layering A/W11 Lookbook
At the beginning of the week we introduced you to Reiss’s autumn/winter 2011 Men’s Tailoring Lookbook, and with the feature going down very well, we thought we would introduce you to another of their new AW11 lookbooks – this time dedicated to all important winter layering.
The lookbook, which features a mix of tailored and more casual pieces, has been produced to give viewers an idea on how to maximise their wardrobe through gentle layering. Reiss has opted for a multiple layers, featuring a combination of different textural depths and colours – helping to add interest to the overall appearance, whilst retaining the practical aspect of keeping warm when dealing with the unpredictable autumn/winter weather.
One of our favourite looks here at FashionBeans is the checked shirt and orange jumper combination. This is because of the smart/casual mix of items that have been combined to create the overall look; a smart checked shirt is layered underneath the bold orange knit jumper (a key colour for the AW11 season), with both sitting underneath a slim casual looking jacket and smart overcoat. This outfit is very versatile, as subtracting or adding just one of the key layers will produce a smarter or more relaxed aesthetic in an instant – the chameleon effect that is imperative to layered looks.
