Run DMC x adidas Superstar 80s “My adidas”

It’s been 25 years since Run DMC released their hit “My Adidas” (off the Raising Hell album) and to celebrate this anniversary Adidas Originals are paying tribute to and releasing a special edition Superstar 80s trainer.

As recognition of Run DMCs year of establishment Adidas are only producing 1,986 pairs of these limited edition trainers.

The shoe sticks to the classic silhouette in white leather with the recognizable three stripes in black. Other features include heel tabs which are initialled with ‘JMJ’ to commemorate the late DJ Jam Master Jay, 1986 embroidered onto the side of the trainer, branding to the tongue, three sets of different coloured laces and finally, by far our favourite feature here at FashionBeans – the gold chain lace lock, which is a representation of the bands iconic oversized chains they were more often than not seen sporting.

This highly anticipated collaboration is set to drop in selected stores worldwide on November 11th 2011.
