This Expedition Parka (also known as the Padded Down Parka) by Suit has been released especially for the bitterly cold autumn/winter 2011 months.
Suit is a relatively new brand that was first launched back in 2004. They are known for basing their collections around fine detailing and classic tailoring, in order to create a range of classic styles with an effortless contemporary edge.
The Parka jacket has been hitting runways and high streets everywhere this AW11, becoming a key outerwear trend of the season – as our very own Jos Kelly detailed with his article on Men’s Parka Jackets.
This parka coat stood out to us here at the FashionBeans HQ as we thought it resembled the Nigel Cabourn Everest Parka Jacket we recently featured. However, with it retailing at just £199, it is quite a substantial amount lower in price than its premium designer equivalent.
The Parka comes in navy and has been constructed from a mixture of cotton and polyster, is padded with duck down and features a fur lined removable drawstring hood – all of which endeavours to keep you warm and protect you from the elements.
Other key details that make up this jacket are: Two large front pockets that are ideal for keeping your hands warm, two large internal pockets, velcro adjustable cuffs, full front zip closure beneath a button overlay and an adjustable toggle waist to give your body slight definition.
