UK designer label Ted Baker has released a spring/summer 2012 footwear lookbook to coincide with their upcoming collection. The new collection has been inspired by the man himself and consists of wide range of styles – from boat shoes and desert boots, to brogues and loafers.
Ted’s typical attention to detail has been considered for every design within the collection – from colour choices to materials used.
The more casual pieces in the collection come in the form of boat shoes, summer driving shoes and desert boots. These have all been produced with the warmer and brighter seasons in mind, as they are available in softer pastel shades of blues and yellows, and constructed of lightweight suede.
The more formal pieces within the collection are made up of hard wearing materials such as premium leather, in more typical timeless shades of black and brown. The models that stood out from the collection for us were the Brogue series – especially the Delsin 4, which is a smart two tone coloured brogue with contrasting coloured laces.
If you are one of those guys who likes to stand out from the crowd and make more of a statement with your formal footwear, Ted Baker has also produced the Gurirub brogue – again constructed from softer suede material (much more comfortable in the warmer seasons) and available in striking colours of red, blue and taupe, with coloured soles and bold white coloured laces. These are bound to get you noticed in all the right ways.
The Kype (a brogue boot) is a nice mix of smart and casual styling with its smooth leather body, and hard wearing chunky white sole – perfect for dressing up or down.
We have picked out our favourite styles from the full collection, which you can see below. You will be able to shop the full range online at Ted Baker.
