The Abington hiker boot is arguably Timberlands’ most recognisable and popular silhouette, and therefore it has once again gone through another transformation in time for its fall 2011 release.
This season it is available in black leather, but still adheres to some of the same characteristics we have seen from the previous incarnations of the boot – such as the use of Gore-Tex protection and heavy duty Vibram outsoles.
Other key detailing includes: striking yellow and black laces which add a burst of colour to the simple jet black leather, cushioned collar, leather insole and D-ring lacing system for a more secure fit.
The lightweight yet heavy duty Vibram outsoles mean they are sturdy and very practical being able to withstand all the elements, offering grip and protection come rain… or the inevitable snow. The bold white sole is also very striking when offset against the jet black leather, meaning they will be a true statement piece that fuses practicality with style.
Not only that, but you can have all of this whilst being on trend for the current autumn/winter 2011 season, as Ben has drawn attention to in one of his latest articles on the Two Key Boot Styles for Autumn/Winter 2011.
