The latest feature over at Topman at the moment comes in the form of their new trend: Local Store.

The inspiration and idea behind the feature was to showcase a series of outfits with an outdoorsy aesthetic and almost worker wear feel. Topman have successfully and effortlessly managed to do this through their clever use of layering and manipulation of textures.

In the lookbook below you can see that Topman have layered boxy jackets over worker shirts. Although chinos have been huge this year, I am pretty sure that you are not all ready to throw out your favourite pair of jeans just yet – and with this trend you don’t need to! Clothing constructed in hardwearing fabrics such as denim are the key pieces needed to pull off this trend successfully, with the emphasis on ‘the more worn in the better’.
