White Mountaineering Whymper High Cut Animal Sneaker
Another day, another animal print inspired footwear release. The latest for autumn/winter 2011 comes from White Mountaineering, with their Whymper High Cut Animal Sneaker.
The Whymper combines a classic basketball hi-top silhouette with a grey leopard print design.
This model has been created using a mix of soft premium leathers and suede. The difference in materials helps to create a striking panelled effect to the overall appearance. The leopard print has been incorporated into various sections on the trainer – as it runs the entire length of the tongue, the toe box, heel and side panels.
The trainer also features: A thick hard wearing white rubber sole, embossed branding to the outside of each trainer and hiking detailed lace loops as well as hiking style thick grey patterned laces.
These playful trainers are one of our favourite animal print footwear releases to date, as the use of different textures helps add depth and another dimension to the overall aesthetic.
Love it or hate it, animal print is certainly making it mark on the footwear collections this season – and seems to be sticking around for the foreseeable future. So to get your hands on a pair of these unique trainers head over to Oki-ni.
