AllSaints Bale Coat
AllSaints’ AW12 collection continues to showcase directional design and master tailoring, providing high-end quality outerwear for the modern man.
For Vogue’s Fashion Night Out, AllSaints debuted its AW12 collection and accompanying campaign. The collection saw an eclectic mix of styles that catered for a wide range of tastes — for more info, read Mark Bonington’s article on the launch and watch the campaign video here.
One piece I think is worth extra attention is the Bale coat — and not just because I have rushed out and bought it already.
The Bale coat is a fully lined, wool-blend long coat with asymmetric fastening and a modish funnel collar. The large funnel collar can be worn fully buttoned up or pulled across to the side, acting almost like a large suit lapel. The coat features tailoring seams and the sleeves are finished with working cuffs for a formal aesthetic, while the concealed buttons are real horn with AllSaints branding.
The Italian wool melton fabric provides a decent heaviness to the Bale coat, making for comfortable wear with a smooth, wind-resistant finish. The lining pays homage to AllSaints’ signature style, coming complete with contrasting patchwork panels.
This tailored coat is an easy-to-wear mainstay for any man’s winter wardrobe – with its simple and clean lines providing a slick and polished finish to any look.
Priced at £250, the Bale coat is a reasonable investment that will last way beyond the current season. It is available now from AllSaints stores and AllSaints.com.
