We’ve been pleasantly surprised by AllSaints and their ability to embrace the SS12 season – and more specifically, the key trends that have come hand-in-hand with it. With the inclusion of printed apparel and an altogether brighter colour palette, the SS12 collection is a far cry from the brand’s usual dark, monochrome offerings.
By injecting some uplifting colour and pattern into their range, it is not only more season appropriate, but adds a sense of playfulness to the brand – something which has been missing over the years. This new ethos and direction has never been more apparent than with their latest release; the Tricolor Shirt.
This Oxford style shirt gives a unique twist to the current pastel trend by incorporating not one, not two, but three pastel hues into one item of structured apparel.
Featuring engineered, large scale, horizontal candy stripes, the pink, yellow and blue colour way has been heavily faded to produce a sun bleached appearance and a subtle take on the trend. This is a shirt that wouldn’t look out of place on America’s West Coast, and has more than a dash of that sought after LA effortless cool.
Other details include a single breast pocket to one side, as well as metal buttons – which have been painted white and undergone a distressing process to give them a somewhat vintage feel.
Whether paired with shorts or chinos this season, this Tricolor Shirt would make a welcome addition to your summer wardrobe, and is sure to make you stand out from the crowd.
