Ann Demeulemeester SS12 Footwear Collection
The new spring/summer 2012 footwear collection from Belgium fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester has just dropped at London boutique LN-CC.
Ann Demeulemeester collections tend to draw inspiration from androgyny whilst utilising a colour palette of dark subtle colours – and once again these trademark features have been incorporated into her latest footwear releases.
The collection features an array of different styles and includes: derby shoes, sneakers, boots and sandals.
From the current range, the style which stood out to us here at FashionBeans came in the form of the Scamosciato eyelet high top sneakers.
We were drawn to the Scamosciato hi-tops because they resemble the classic Converse silhouette – an all time favourite here at FashionBeans and no doubt popular with most men out there – however this particular version differs from your stereotypical Converse styles through the use of their metal eyelets. The trainers are constructed from black matte leather and black rubber sole, with the design featuring prominent metal eyelets in various sizes to both the inside and outside of the trainer.
Other details include: two metal zips which run down either side of the high tops, top stitched toe cap and black harmonising laces.
This collection proves that you don’t necessarily need to incorporate loud bold colours to your outfits in order to stand out and get noticed. By giving classic styles a new contemporary spin, it shows that the devil really is in the detail.
