If you have been following FashionBeans, you may be aware of London based brand Aqua by Aqua (last month we featured their new range of graphic tees). The label have just released their new men’s lookbook for spring/summer 2012, and having seen the collection I can safely say I am excited for what is in store this season.
The brand is best known for its directional approach to high-street fashion, and this season is no different. Sportswear and streetwear form a large part of the range, with sweatshirts and tees (as well as matching shorts) provided in monochrome airtex fabrics.
The brand have also embraced print more than ever, with printed sets comprising of tees, shirts and shorts. The burgundy and black African printed shirt featured in the lookbook is a standout piece that also comes in matching shorts, with both available in black or white.
Other noteworthy prints come in the form of bleach-splashed denim shirts and shorts. The fabric has been bleached by hand resulting in completely unique product – no two shirts will be the same! Not only does this hit the printed trend subtly, but it has that underlying 90s influence which is running throughout the industry this SS12. Murray detailed this recently in his guide to channeling the era.
As well as the more directional pieces, the collection also boasts a large range of graphic tees, new chino styles and a completely redesigned denim range, which features Japanese materials and a new fit guide. There is bound to be something for everyone this season.
All clothing will be available online at Aqua by Aqua and is also available in both the Leeds and London Beak Street store.
