Balmain Fall/Winter 2012 Lookbook
Five months after the release of the initial collection images, Parisian label Balmain Homme launch their lookbook for the fall/winter 2012 season.
The collection, adopting a strong military theme and heavily focused on great outerwear pieces, is what we would expect from the respected fashion house. Recycling simple, signature designs and transforming them with modern cuts and fresh fabrics makes this the ideal collection for the drearier months.
A wide range of tailoring and luxury leather makes for the perfect contrast with bold hues of red. While a vintage tone sweeps throughout the entire lookbook, these splashes of colour show that Balmain can too cater for the contemporary gentleman.
Olivier Rousteing, designer of Balmain Homme, offers a taster of what to expect from menswear fashion this coming winter. His collection, heavily reliant on smart, sophisticated pieces, suggests fall/winter 2012 is going to be about the powerful alpha male.
Suitable for a day in the office or trip down town, Rousteing’s latest is not to be missed.
