In order to celebrate the great British winter in style, Ben Sherman have re-worked 3 classic outerwear staples, giving them a contemporary twist through their styling, fit and fabrication. However, what makes this collection even more exceptional is that each piece is made right here in England – true British Heritage at its finest.

The three styles to have been incorporated into this range are; the new donkey jacket, classic duffle coat and the double breasted overcoat.

The ‘Classic Duffle Coat’ retains the iconic form of the traditional duffle silhouette, but has been brought bang up to date for 2012 with the addition of subtle leather detailing to the elbows, shoulder yoke and accents.

A staple of modern British professional wardrobe, the ‘Double Breasted Overcoat’ remains true to form with its elegant and sophisticated appearance, but effortlessly distinguishes itself from the masses through the addition of a luxurious shearling collar, corozo nut buttons and double belted cuffs.

And last, but by no means least, our favourite here in the FashionBeans office is the ‘Donkey Jacket’. Re-working the traditional utilitarian staple, this distinct wool jacket has been upgraded with a fur lined collar, leather panelling and asymmetric zip detail, ensuring it fits in with two of this season’s key trends; faux fur and blockbuster coats.
