Ben Sherman will be continuing their Plectrum range with Brighton to Tokyo spring 2012, following on from their autumn 2011 Englishman in New York Plectrum Collection.
If any brand defined British youth culture it would be Ben Sherman, with its rich heritage intertwined with past, present and most probably future British style. The brand’s spring 2012 lookbook is a testament to this, whilst at the same time contrasting British notions of style with the simplistic, functional and innovative workings of Japanese design. Ben Sherman’s spring 2012 collection is everything you would expect from the brand and more.
The collection includes the staples – chinos, brogues and the infamous Ben Sherman button down shirt. With the addition of perfectly turned up shorts, smart tailoring and outwear, which features a trench to rival that of Burberry.
With every detail of the garments taken care of through design, use of different fabrics, patterns and colour – including hues of blue, brown and red – Ben Sherman really has produced the essential spring/summer 2012 wardrobe. The strength of the collection lies in Ben Sherman’s ability to mix two different design disciplines together to create something unique, whilst not forgetting the core essence of the brand.
