Last week Brighterman launched a new feature on site, entitled “Brighterman Designer” – a marketplace for up-and-coming UK designers of accessories. After a few months of searching online for new, fresh, UK talent, Brighterman have carefully selected a small range of designers to showcase and sell their collections. From handmade knitted ties originating from the North of England, to customised men’s jewellery from London, the range is full of character.
The aim of the new feature is to give promising UK accessory designers the opportunity to offer their collections on a new platform. Some of the collaborative designers have their collections sold throughout retailers and online stores, whereas others only sell to close friends and family. Each collection offers something unique, from the way it’s made to the design process and inspiration behind the accessory. The only common trait each designer shares is that their line was designed and manufactured right here in the UK – showcasing the heritage and beauty behind UK manufactured goods.
The marketplace currently has a small selection of designers on board, offering a minimalistic feel. Designers such as Helen Ruth, Smith and Grey, Lindsay Edmonson and Angela Murray may be names you’ve never heard before, but the talent they hold for designing and producing men’s accessories is something that should not go unnoticed
New designers will be added to the site on a monthly basis, with Brighterman carefully selecting which designers they aim to showcase. High quality and unique designs are a must, along with a huge importance being placed on UK manufacturing and design.
