When we first heard of this collaboration, the whole team here at FashionBeans were excited, to say the least. So it is only right for us to showcase to our readers this latest capsule collection from two of Britain’s most iconic brands: Clarks and Harris Tweed.
Joining forces for the autumn/winter 2012 season, this joint venture sees the brands combine their individual ideals to create an authentic, heritage-led, high quality footwear collection. The collection caters to both sexes, providing unique styles that are suitable for both men and women – making at least one trip to the department store that little more enjoyable.
Utilising on trend silhouettes, some of Clarks’ new footwear styles have been updated with the inclusion of coloured tweed fabric – appropriate for the AW12 season due to its heavyweight construction and the fact that it is set to become a huge trend fabric once again in 2012.
Not content with releasing a variety of new contemporary styles, Clarks have also included one of their most iconic silhouettes; the classic Desert Boot. Updating it with the inclusion of a navy and cream herringbone Harris Tweed, combined with navy suede, it is a real stand out piece that would deserve its place in any modern males wardrobe.
Overall, the collection includes an array of season appropriate footwear – from brogues to brogue boots, desert boots to hi-top trainers – which all come in a range of different colour and material combinations, meaning you are bound to find something to suit your personal style.
Set to hit stores in August, we’re sure this collection will fly off shelves!
