Conran Bath & Body Range

This week FashionBeans attended the launch event for a new Bath & Body range by Conran. The brand is best known for their interior, graphic and product design specialities, as well as their luxury furniture store ‘The Conran Shop’. This range however is their debut in the beauty and grooming field, and consists of shower gels, hand washes, body scrubs, lotions and hand creams. The body scrub is a particular favourite of mine – with it’s jellied caviar consistency, it is something I have not experienced before.

The whole Conran range is available with two scents to choose from, mysteriously named ‘1’ and ‘2’. Scent 1 is a very rich and masculine concoction of oud wood, fresh pepper, nutmeg and cardamom. These ingredients complement each other very well, giving the overall scent a luxurious depth. Scent 2 is a much lighter and fresher affair, featuring top notes of lemon, mandarin and fresh cut green stems.

Although all the products are aimed at both men and women, I feel that scent 1 is the more masculine of the two and would be the better choice for men. Scent 2 however could make a great gift for the girl in your life!

In terms of aesthetics, the Bath & Body range comes packaged in stylish and robust bottles and tins that would compliment a man’s bathroom just as well as a woman’s. The attention to detail in the range is superb – from packaging to product – something that fans of the brand have come to expect.
