Eastpak x Kris Van Assche Pockets
Following on from the success of their previous collaboration, American luggage specialist Eastpak have once again teamed up with Belgian designer and creative director of Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche, to produce a collection of unique bags ready for the spring/summer 2012 season.
Although the collection is made up of a series of different bag styles, the one which caught our eye here in the FashionBeans office was the Eastpak x Kris Van Assche ‘Pockets’.
The reason this particular style demanded our attention was due to its innovative and perfectly balanced design. The pockets ‘bag’ is a superb fusion of Kris Can Assche’s signature modernist style with Eastpak’s knowledge of build quality and functionality.
The bag itself is made up from 3 different sized ‘pockets’, which are attached together by a series of press studs – allowing the sections to be securely fastened together or utilised individually. This approach creates a versatile bag that can be used in a number of different ways.
It is quite obviously ideal for all gadget fanatics – with the 3 sections being the perfect size to carry a laptop, an iPad/tablet and an iPod/iPhone/Smart Phone. Mix and match the pockets dependent on situation and what is essential to your daily routine. These could essentially replace all of your current gadget protective covers.
Other details include: a thick canvas outer with white rubber coating, thick inside padding and a choice of grey or red colour ways.
