Firetrap SS12 Coloured Chinos Collection
Having made their mark on both menswear and womenswear over the past couple of years, the chinos’ continued popularity has thrust them into the highly exclusive bracket of ‘menswear essential’. Their ability to be dressed up or down, and the sheer amount of colours, styles and cuts available on the market means that men finally have an alternative to their denim jeans collection.
One brand that has really made an impression with their new spring/summer 2012 coloured chino range are Firetrap. To coincide with the launch of the new styles, premium menswear retailer Van Mildert have produced another distinct lookbook – giving viewers a glimpse into the collection whilst showcasing the range to its full potential.
The collection itself is made up to two key styles, the Drake and Branco. Both feature a slim tapered fit; helping to create that sought after, streamline silhouette. Coming in six different colour ways, from more muted earth tones to vibrant blue hues, this collection should cater for all needs and personal styles.
Other details include: Minimal branding, button fly, belt loops and various pockets to both the front and rear (with the Branco style coming with asymmetric rear pockets: one plain welt pocket and one with a flap and button fastening.)
Versatility and originality is key to pulling off a piece that is worn by the masses, so make a statement by pairing your coloured chinos with a vibrant pair of contrasting coloured socks. Finish by rolling up the hems and let your bottom half do all the talking.

They look great, i like all these colours. Do you think they are quite narrow or tapered at the bottom ?
Still rocking my All saints growl chinos in rust/oxblood which are not stocked any more, my favourite colour at present. Already got navy and tobacco coloured ones from Paul Smith from last two seasons.
Dockers do some similar colours but after all xmas hunting i could never find the dockers store in London or a stockist. I hardly wear jeans these days, just love being in chino town…lol
