Following on from the imagery produced to celebrate the arrival of designer label Ma.Strum to their portfolio, Van Mildert have produced another distinct lookbook to display the latest spring/summer 2012 range from contemporary menswear brand Folk.
Overall, the new SS12 collection is an easy to wear range that is comprised mainly of casual lightweight shirts, open knitwear, outerwear pieces and both patterned and plain tees.
Much of the range follows the brand’s ethos; understated pieces that allow attention to detail and design to take centre stage. However, to keep up to date with this season’s key menswear trend, we see various pieces from the series incorporating distinctive patterns and prints.
Our favourite garment that has incorporated these prints and patterns is the Circular Dots Tee. This t-shirt – yes, you guessed it – is made up of a series of multicoloured dots, which are combined to produce a circular pattern inspired by an Aboriginal piece of art. This t-shirt is guaranteed to keep you on trend this season and is definitely one of the more unique examples we have come across so far.
Not only that, one key detail we think you will appreciate is that the Circular Dots tee was actually produced using a technique the vast majority will be familiar with – the potato print approach many would of used to paint pictures at preschool!
