Holland Cooper AW12: Best Bits
Taking the “twee” out of tweed and giving it its “latest urban re-incarnation – with a luxe glamorous edge,” Holland Cooper, the brain-child of Jade Holland Cooper, is a young British hand-cut clothing brand that boasts a dedicated following from Vogue to David Beckham to the cast of ‘Made in Chelsea’. (Don’t hold that last one against them.)
Hot out the Suffolk based design studio, Holland Cooper has produced some autumn/winter 2012 essentials. Here are FashionBeans’ very own top 5…
1) The Mayfair Blouson With Racoon Fur Hood
Part of the Holland Cooper Gold Label, this blouson jacket is, without doubt, the epitome of Holland Cooper modern menswear. Ideal for the cold British winter or an even colder day on the ski slopes, this statement tweed piece with racoon fur trim detachable hood is the one jacket you need this winter. (Jacket without hood also available.)
2) Aviator Gilet Vintage Blue (Limited Edition)
For a slightly warmer autumn, this limited edition tweed gilet – part of the “British Collection”, of course – is as beautifully hand-crafted as it is wearable. The olive green and sky blue tweed works beautifully with the leather detailing and Union Jack lining, to give the classic tweed gilet a modern punch.
3) Morrison Jacket in Ginger Bread
Jade Holland Cooper is quite the connoisseur of men’s tweed jackets (David Beckham’s a fan) which makes choosing one almost impossible. However, on seeing the “Ginger Bread” jacket, it was a no-contest for this autumn.
Capturing the essence of autumn with the “burnt orange, seductive red” and dark pink blended tweed, this Morrison jacket would look great on a picturesque stroll through the woods – or with chinos on a stroll through town.
Made to measure and with the option of trousers for a three piece suit, standing out in this jacket would certainly not be a bad thing!
4) Yellow Tattersal Scarf
Your autumn/winter wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without a few accessories to keep you warm – and Holland Cooper has covered that too! Also part of the “British Collection”, the yellow tattersal scarf offers a unique finish to any outfit worn casually or formally.
5) Cap in Grouse & Cap in Ginger Bread
Either as a finish touch to your bespoke Holland Cooper three piece suit or simply to keep your head warm this winter, both tweed caps will provide your outfits with a classic British finish for the modern age.
Worn by polo players and footballers alike, Holland Cooper is doing a brilliant job at leading the way in the rejuvenation of the British tweed industry and making themselves known for doing so.
