J.Lindeberg Bi-Annual Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
J.Lindeberg unleashed their bi-Annual spring/summer 2012 collection this week in ‘The Documentary and a Dream’. One of Sweden’s well-known global fashion exports, J.Lindeberg is lauded for their elegant take on sportswear – most notably their golf apparel.
The SS12 collection showcases the trademark items you would expect from their 15-year history, which are all sporty, on trend and versatile. Incorporating classic styling with an eye towards modern utility, it is a marriage of “tradition and innovation.”
The collection consists of easily adaptable pieces in light colours and materials that are perfect for those crisp spring afternoons and summer evenings – with each piece as capable of standing alone as they are working together. It has a decidedly casual feel to it, but manages to retain an air of sophistication through the inclusion of garments that are suited to more formal occasions.
The nautical trend features prominently throughout the range, with a variety of stripes on offer in every orientation you can dream of: vertical, diagonal and horizontal are all included.
One of the standout looks in the lookbook below showcases some of the layering, texture and colour techniques we’ve previously discussed previously here at FashionBeans. The texture contrast between the denim (shirt), satin (bow tie) and cottons (sweater, blazer) breaks the look up, whilst the cohesiveness of the on trend blue colour palette brings it all together. Simple, effortless and right on trend.
The collection is available now at selected retailers worldwide.
