KARL Menswear Collection by Karl Lagerfeld

Finally, Monsieur Karl Lagerfeld releases a menswear collection. Upon hearing his name, we instantly envision a man in a tailored black and white suit, dark glasses (usually aviators) and leather gloves. The chief designer for Chanel, and artistic director for Fendi, cuts an iconic figure within the fashion industry, with this signature ‘Rock & Roll Glamour’ look inspiring many of his collections.

The debut KARL collection features a wide range of pieces, from t-shirts to iPhone cases and even a couple of dolls. The t-shirt collection is composed of graphic designs and camouflage print – which, when viewed closely, are actually silhouettes of Karl Lagerfeld’s head – printed on cotton t-shirts in white, grey or black. There are also a couple of long-sleeved poplin shirts that are versatile enough to be dressed up or down for occasion.

The outerwear collection ranges from hoodies, leather jackets and wool coats, to blazers that epitomise the sports luxe, rock & roll and military styles he is renowned for. The jeans in the collection feature a slim fit and typical dark wash denim.

Accessories released include everything you can possibly think of: dolls, iPhone cases, scarves, a mole skin notepad and a pair of dark aviator glasses are just some of the highlights.

Overall, it is a versatile and classic menswear collection that stays true to Lagerfeld’s personal style. A monochrome, greyscale colour palette makes it extremely versatile, enabling you to effortlessly add any piece to your existing wardrobe.
