KRIS VAN ASSCHE x Lee Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection
An interesting collaborative effort sees Belgian designer Kris Van Assche team up with authentic denim brand Lee, to produce a capsule denim collection ready for autumn/winter 2012. First seen on the Paris Fashion Week runways back in January 2012, the full collection is now being showcased in advanced via a series of editorial imagery.
Known in the business for his modern understated designs and attention to detail, Kris Van Assche has delved into the Lee denim archive to reinterpret a selection of their timeless worker wear styles – giving each piece a much more contemporary edge.
The range of garments set to be given a makeover includes: the classic denim jacket, the blouson, the jeans shirt, the five pocket trousers and the chino trouser. With each of these five distinct styles set to come in two colour ways of work wear blue and dark brown.
Keeping the cuts simple and details restrained – such as the subtle use of embossed leather and gunmetal detailing – these minimalistic designs allow the focus to remain on the clean cut lines produced as a result.
Expect to see the release of this collection at selected Kris Van Assche and Lee stores from July 2012.
