London Collections: MEN celebrates the best in British Fashion on an annual basis. The 7th-9th January 2013 will be the next gathering of some of Britain’s most important and influential figures on the menswear scene.
This is the second year the event has run and, much like last year, there is a lot of hype surrounding London Collections as a whole. Kicking off the calendar for British fashion events, there is a huge amount of pressure in delivering a men’s ‘Fashion Week’ as good as the likes of New York, Milan and Paris.
With this in mind, the buzz circling LCM is building already. First of all, Vivienne Westwood MAN have announced they will be teaming up with luxury department store Harrods to collaborate on a presentation of their AW13 collection, creating an exclusive art installation to be featured in store. The display will boast both music and fashion, to collectively portray the very best of British arts.
In other news, men’s underwear brand HOM have announced they will be sponsoring the event. As a sponsor they will be providing fittings for all male models (albeit probably not underwear). HOM will also be supplying the event with products for the stylists and designers.
It is shaping up to be an exciting couple of days, and we will keep you bang up to date in the lead up to the event, as well as streaming live runway shows during, right here on FashionBeans.
Expect to see all the regulars on the British style circuit such as Lou Dalton and Orlebar Brown along with a few extra surprises in the coming weeks.
