When skater meets fashion; Marc Jacobs has showcased his latest fall/winter 2012 menswear collection through a unique and interestingly styled lookbook.
The lookbook manages to produce an innovative overall aesthetic and utilises a wide array of pieces – from casual street wear to more structured formal wear. In some cases, both are juxtaposed together in order to create a true clash of styles; suits and tailored pieces being paired with trainers, or more typical street wear garments such as casual bomber jackets being teamed up with shirts and derby shoes.
A colour palette of vibrant yellow, mustard and green is prominent throughout, with these striking hues being anchored with more common neutral shades of navy, grey and beige.
Although the lookbook is clearly designed to cause a stir and get people talking, it is evident that colour and graphic prints are going to play a major part in Marc Jacobs’ fall/winter offer this year. Overall, the collection will enable you to create bold and distinctive outfits that fly in the face of the traditional monochrome colour palette associated with the season.
