Margaret Howell Autumn/Winter 2012 Men’s Collection
British clothes designer Margaret Howell has released a preview of her upcoming autumn/winter 2012 menswear collection, in the form of a lookbook.
The designer, who has been in the business for four decades, tends not to focus on prevailing trends but on classic garments – with a particular emphasis on well fitting tailored staples, which will take you from season to season. The new clothing range has been styled with little or no accessories in the lookbook, allowing the clothing to really speak for itself.
The AW12 menswear collection features a colour palette of traditional muted tones, with subtle dashes of colour in the form of reds and burnt orange hues – a welcome addition that injects a hint of playfulness into the sophisticated range.
The lookbook features a plethora of well cut garments: single breasted trench coats, suiting, smart shirting, blazers and relaxed knitwear to name but a few. However, our favourite pieces come in the form of the fitted rolled up trousers. These trousers are available in various different colour ways (khaki, navy, black and burnt orange), so you are bound to find a pair that suits your personal style and can be integrate into your current wardrobe. The trousers feature a subtle rolled hem detailing and a great tailored cut – providing versatility and allowing them to be dressed up or down.
With so many classic and timeless pieces, this refined collection will make the transition from season to season effortless.
