One of the latest menswear collections to land at the FashionBeans offices comes from Swiss brand Bally. Founded in 1851, Bally has over a 160 years of experience in both the menswear and womenswear fashion industry.
The collection has been a dual effort between creative directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler, and looks to combine Bally’s rich heritage with a modern twist. This mix of old with new gives the range “a sense of modernity while looking at the past” - Graeme Fidler. This has been a widely adopted approach within many of the latest menswear collections, as the industry continues to look to eras past in order to bring classic pieces and styles bang up to date for the current market.
The range is mainly constructed in subtle earth tones of brown, black and grey, whilst utilising an array of different materials. There is a heavy emphasis on waxed fabrics and premium leathers – with outerwear playing a major part within the collection.
By incorporating a variety of different materials, textures and patterns it gives these timeless pieces a contemporary twist, whilst allowing them to stay true to the roots that made them such an essential classic style.
