If you aren’t one of the select few who have the ability to inherit style from their forefathers, then you can instead purchase it at MrPorter.com – thereby creating your own. This is the idea which lies at the heart of Mr Porter’s new spring/summer 2012 advertising campaign.
The advertising campaign features:
All of which have taste and style running through their veins.
The campaign is the second instalment of Mr Porter’s fashion story – following their A/W 2011 campaign in which young heirs Ed Stoppard, Bruno Senna, Isaac Ferry and John Hemmingway featured in.
Lawrence Ellis, who has previously worked with Maison Martin Margiela and Dansk magazine, was the photographer behind the clean cut images of the campaign, whilst the styling was perfectly executed by Mr Porter’s very own style director Dan May.
Interactive digital advertisements from Mr Porter will soon be available through the iPad and online, enabling the viewer to access behind-the-scenes video content and shop directly from the campaign.
Will Mr Porter continue this fashion story into future seasons, and if so where will it be taken? Will the focus shift towards the men who have taken their identity into their own hands and created their own personal style? We don’t know anything for certain, but we do know that we can’t wait.
