Nixon The Unit A197 Surplus Watch
Recognise this model? It’s not deja vu. You would be right to get that same “oooh” feeling a second time round. This particular model entitled ‘The Unit’ is one of Nixon’s most popular wristwear silhouettes given a new lease of life for a SS12 release.
Having initially done the rounds in bold vibrant colourways, and then again in more muted military-inspired colours for autumn/winter 2011; the brand have once again spruced up the model, adding a variety of new colourways which include: grey, neon orange and rasta.
Functions in this chunky timepiece remain the same, involving a split digital display-to-display time, date and temperature simultaneously, providing function and style all in one durable chunky package.
Other features include:
- A count down timer
- Light function
- And water resistant up to 100m.
The main body and bezel of the watch are made from moulded polycarbonate with hardened mineral crystal. The strap is constructed from polyurethane and fastens with none other than the award-winning watch manufacturer’s patented locking looper.
