Swimwear is hard to get right. No matter how well dressed you are in everyday life, it’s safe to say we’ve all had our fair share of poolside catastrophes. We all want to look our best on holiday, but nobody wants attention for all the wrong reasons.
Orlebar Brown have managed to mix trend with practicality for the last five years, and to celebrate have released a 5th Anniversary Collection of swim shorts. Built around bold photographic print, the collection fits beautifully with current multi textured and pattern trends, but still manages to maintain an element of simplicity by staying away from repetitive and geometric prints.
The collection is being released periodically throughout the year, in association with Getty Images. The idea behind the pieces is that photographs from Getty’s archives are selected on the premise that they represent ‘An OB Way of Life.’ The OB5 campaign also invites customers to submit images they feel represent ‘An OB Way of Life’ with the chance to win a holiday or spending spree at Orlebar Brown.
Each design is a full colour digital print on quick drying polyamide fabric, so there’s no need for a quick change between the pool and bar, making the shorts a fun fashion piece for in and out of the water.
With 12 designs to be released in total – all limited editions – the shorts are a great way to define your summer look, and still let everybody know that you take care with every fashion decision you make, no matter how informal the environment.
Furthermore, 10% of the profits made from the collection will go to The Blue Marine Foundation, who work towards protecting the ocean and its wildlife.
