Our Legacy Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

If you’re anything like me, then you will be a massive fan of Swedish fashion brands and their aesthetic; well put together and thought out, but effortlessly stylish. It is a hard look to pull off, and one that I am trying to master this season. Helping me in this aim is Swedish brand Our Legacy, whose spring/summer 2012 lookbook epitomises everything that such brands exude – from the shaggy haired model, to the off-duty casual shots featured.

In terms of the collection, it is exactly as you would expect from a Scandinavian label. Suiting is oversized, unstructured and relaxed, coming in greys, indigos and navy. Team a linen-mix indigo suit with a clean white tee for effortless spring style, or mix a tweed blazer with a grey trouser to add interest.

There is also some worker wear, with light-wash denim and indigo over-shirts sitting alongside utility chinos. Try wearing with an untucked white shirt, in order to create a more relaxed silhouette and to retain that thrown-together look. Sportswear also features, with grey marl sweatshirt and cut-off sweatpant combo’s – something that is right on trend for spring/summer – these are definitely on my wishlist!

This brand is definitely one to watch. Their take on wearable, stylish and casual clothing is a winner – so much so that Liberty of London have bought the collection. If it’s good enough for them, then it’s certainly good enough for me.
